Iran Continues Overnight Missile and Drone Strikes on UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and Iraq
On Wednesday evening and Thursday morning, the Islamic Republic continued missile and drone attacks on several countries in the region, with local officials reporting interceptions, limited damage, and disruption to some infrastructure.
In the United Arab Emirates, the Ministry of Defense announced it was countering Iranian missile and drone threats, and the Interior Ministry reported the interception of a missile threat. A drone also fell on a building in the Dubai Creek Harbor area, causing a limited fire with no casualties reported.
In Saudi Arabia, the Ministry of Defense reported the interception of two drones in the Eastern Province, followed by 18 more drones intercepted in the same area. Two drones moving toward the Shaybah oil field in the Empty Quarter (Rub al-Khali) were also destroyed.
In Bahrain, the Interior Ministry announced that fuel tanks at a facility in the Muharraq area were targeted, with firefighting operations ongoing.
In Iraq, oil ports halted operations, though commercial ports remained active. Fires on two oil tankers were extinguished, and a drone was shot down at the Majnoon oil field in Basra. In the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, 17 overnight attacks on Erbil were neutralized.
