Iran FM Rejects Ceasefire, Says No Negotiations with US; Warns Hormuz Options Open
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi told NBC News on Thursday that Iran has made "no request for a ceasefire" and no request for negotiations with the United States after six days of military conflict with the US and Israel. He also denied sending any messages to Washington. Araghchi said Iran has "no intention" to close the Strait of Hormuz but warned all options could be considered if the war continues — contradicting recent claims by IRGC officials who said Tehran had already closed the strategic waterway. US President Trump said the same evening that the Strait of Hormuz will remain open.
