Iran Foreign Ministry Denies Trump's Claim Tehran Requested Ceasefire; Trump Threatens to Bomb Iran 'Back to the Stone Age'

Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesperson, cited by Mehr News Agency, stated that "Donald Trump's claim about Tehran's request for a ceasefire has no basis." The denial came after Trump posted on Truth Social on April 1 (12 Farvardin) that "the head of Iran's new regime" had requested a ceasefire from the United States. In the same post, Trump also warned that if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened and security is not restored to this strategic waterway, US attacks on Iran will continue until "returning it to the Stone Age."
