Iran Offline 84+ Hours Into Regime-Imposed Internet Blackout, NetBlocks Reports
Internet monitoring group NetBlocks reported that Iran remains almost entirely offline more than 84 hours into a regime-imposed internet blackout, with connectivity holding at approximately 1% of normal levels since February 28. The group described internet access as a lifeline during times of crisis, noting the shutdown reflects disregard for the public’s right to stay informed. The prolonged digital blackout has cut off an estimated 90 million Iranians from the open internet amid the ongoing military conflict.
