Iran Rejects US Ceasefire Proposal, Sets Five Conditions to End War
Press TV, the English-language news network of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting, reported citing a senior political-security official of the Iranian government that Tehran has rejected an American proposal to end the war, emphasizing that the end of the war will only be on the "terms and timeline desired" by Tehran.
The official stated that the Islamic Republic has set five conditions for ending the war:
1. Complete cessation of "aggression and killing" by the enemy
2. Establishment of specific mechanisms to prevent war from being brought to the Islamic Republic again
3. Guaranteed and transparent payment of war damages and reparations
4. End of the war on all fronts and for all resistance groups in the region
5. Recognition and provision of international guarantees regarding the Islamic Republic's sovereign rights over the Strait of Hormuz
