Iranian Media: Mojtaba Khamenei Is "In Full Health" and Managing Affairs, Contradicting Israeli Kill Reports

Iranian media, citing Mehr News Agency, reported that Mojtaba Khamenei — son of the killed Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei — is "in full health" and actively managing family affairs and important national matters following his father's death. The report directly contradicts earlier Israeli media claims that Mojtaba was killed alongside his father. Iranian media separately confirmed that Mansoureh Khojasteh Bagherzadeh, wife of Ali Khamenei who had been in a coma for three days after the bombing, has died. Also killed in the strike were Zahra Haddad Adel (Mojtaba's wife), a daughter and son-in-law of Ali Khamenei, and his grandchild. Mojtaba, Ali Khamenei's second son, had in recent years been discussed as a potential successor to his father.
