IRGC Declares Strait of Hormuz Closed, Threatens Ships Bound for Israeli and US-Allied Ports

The IRGC Public Relations on Friday, 7th of Farvardin, issued a statement threatening that transit of ships to and from the ports of "allies and supporters" of Israel and the United States is forbidden through any corridor. The statement, citing the IRGC Navy, declared: "The Strait of Hormuz is closed and any transit through this strait will face a harsh response." The IRGC also announced that on Friday morning, three container ships of different nationalities that intended to pass through the designated routes were forced to turn back after "warnings" from the IRGC Navy.
