Israel Says It Struck Talaqan Nuclear Complex at Parchin

Israel says it attacked the Talaqan site at Parchin. The Israeli army announced on Thursday that it attacked a nuclear facility near Tehran known as "Talaqan." The Israeli army referred to the facility as the "Talaqan complex" in its statement and said the Iranian government used it "to advance nuclear weapons capability." The IDF message noted that in the 2000s, the Talaqan facility was used to develop advanced explosives and conduct sensitive tests as part of the secret "Amad" project. It was previously reported that Talaqan 2 had already been struck during the 12-day war between Israel, the US, and Iran. About a month ago, the Washington-based Institute for Science and International Security published satellite images showing new construction activity at the former location of the site, also known as "Talaqan 2." According to the institute, Iran had at that time reinforced the concrete layers of the "Talaqan 2" facility at Parchin and then covered large sections of it with soil.
