Minutes after Donald Trump announced he is in contact with the "most respected and most powerful" leader in Iran, Israel's Jerusalem Post reported, citing sources, that this person is Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly (Iranian Parliament). Iran's Foreign Ministry, several IRGC-affiliated media outlets, and several members of Parliament have outright denied that any negotiations are taking place.
