Multiple Explosions and Fighter Jets Reported Across Tehran and Karaj

Citizens across multiple Tehran neighborhoods and Karaj reported intense waves of explosions and low-flying fighter jets around 5:32–5:35 a.m. local time. Witnesses in Narmak, Resalat Square, Fatemi Street, the Navab highway area, Bahar Street, Moniriyeh, Sohrevardi, and Dowlatabad described buildings shaking and windows rattling from up to 20 consecutive blasts. Reports from Karaj described continuous jet sounds lasting 15 minutes or more, compared by one resident to rolling thunder. Social media reports suggested strikes may have targeted the Kolahdouz military area in east Tehran.
