Trump Announces Both Downed U.S. Pilots Rescued from Inside Iran

My fellow Americans, over the past several hours, the United States Armed Forces carried out one of the most daring search and rescue operations in American history for one of our extraordinary pilot officers — who is also a highly respected Colonel — and I am thrilled to inform you that he is safe and in good health! This brave warrior was trapped behind enemy lines in Iran’s dangerous and treacherous mountains as enemy forces were closing in on him hour by hour, but he was never truly alone. The Commander in Chief, the Secretary of Defense, the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and his fellow warriors were monitoring his location around the clock and carefully planning his rescue. Under my direct order, the United States Armed Forces dispatched dozens of aircraft armed with the world’s most lethal weapons to bring him home. He was wounded during the operation, but he will be completely fine. This miraculous search and rescue operation was in addition to the successful rescue of another brave pilot yesterday — which we did not confirm because we did not want to jeopardize the second rescue operation. This is the first time in American military memory that two U.S. pilots have been rescued separately from deep within enemy territory. We never leave an American warrior behind!
