UAE Issues First-Ever Nationwide Mobile Emergency Alert Ordering Residents to Shelter
The UAE Ministry of Interior issued an unprecedented nationwide mobile emergency alert as Iranian missiles and drones continued targeting the country on Sunday, March 1. The alert read: 'Due to current situation, a potential missile threat, seek immediate shelter in the closest secure building, and steer away from windows, doors and open areas.' The UAE also ordered nationwide remote working. By March 1, Iran had fired 165 ballistic missiles, 2 cruise missiles, and 541 drones at the UAE; most were intercepted, but 3 civilians were killed and 58 injured.
