Barclays Raises Brent Crude Forecast to $100/Barrel; Analysts Warn of $10–$20 Spike When Markets Open

Barclays boosted its Brent crude oil futures price forecast to approximately $100 per barrel on Saturday, sharply up from its prior $80 target, after the United States and Israel struck Iran. Rystad Energy warned markets could surge $10–$20 per barrel without signs of de-escalation, while a retail WTI product priced the commodity up to 12% higher. Swiss bank Lombard Odier said a temporary spike past $100 is plausible if Iran moves to block the Strait of Hormuz.
