Poll: 45% of Americans Oppose Iran Strikes, Only 33% Approve

An initial YouGov poll conducted after strikes began on February 28 found only 33 percent of US adults approved of the US attacking Iran, while 45 percent disapproved. A pre-strike Economist/YouGov poll showed 49 percent opposed to military action, with just 27 percent in support. Separately, 74 percent of Americans said Trump needed congressional approval before striking Iran — approval he did not seek.
