Ben Gurion Airport Closed Until Further Notice; Israeli Airlines Evacuate Fleets Abroad

Israel's Ben Gurion International Airport suspended all civilian arrivals and departures until further notice as Israel's airspace closed amid the Iran conflict. Israel's three major carriers — El Al, Israir, and Arkia — relocated their aircraft fleets to Athens, Larnaca, and Rome to protect them from potential Iranian missile strikes. Wizz Air canceled all flights to Tel Aviv through March 7. Approximately 100,000 Israelis were stranded abroad, with carriers organizing shuttle services via Taba Airport in Egypt. Resumption will be announced 24 hours in advance once security permits.
