Iran FM Araghchi Condemns Israeli Strikes on Steel Plants in Ahvaz and Isfahan, Arak Heavy Water Facility; Threatens Heavy Price

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi condemned Israel following Friday strikes on steel factories in Ahvaz and Isfahan, and on the Khondab facilities in Arak, accusing Israel of targeting Iranian infrastructure. Araghchi also stated that Israel claims the attacks were carried out "in coordination with the United States." Araghchi wrote on X: "This attack contradicts the extended deadline of the US President for diplomacy," and threatened that "Iran will impose a heavy price for Israel's crimes." The Israeli military described the attack on Arak's heavy water facilities as targeting "key infrastructure for the production of plutonium used in nuclear weapons."
