Iranian Ballistic Missile Directly Hits Building in Dimona; 47 Wounded
The Israeli army confirmed on Saturday that an Islamic Republic ballistic missile directly hit a building in the city of Dimona, located in the Negev desert.
According to AFP, Dimona hosts sensitive nuclear facilities that many believe house the only nuclear weapons arsenal in the Middle East, although Israel has never officially confirmed having nuclear weapons.
The Israeli army confirmed to AFP that the damage was caused by a "direct hit of a missile to a building" in this strategic area.
Israel's National Emergency Organization announced that 47 people were wounded following the Islamic Republic's missile attack on Dimona city in southern Israel. According to the latest update from the organization, most injuries were caused by shrapnel.
Dimona city is approximately 13 kilometers from the Negev Nuclear Research Center.
