Iranian MP Threatens Citizens with Execution for Sympathizing with Enemy

A member of Iran's National Security and Foreign Policy Commission threatened Iranian citizens with execution orders during a state television interview on Thursday. Salar Velayatmadar, a former IRGC commander turned parliamentarian, stated on IRIB News Network that anyone in Iran who voices sympathy with the enemy has "Tel Aviv under their feet, Netanyahu's head on their shoulders," and their execution order has been issued. Velayatmadar, previously known by the surname Abnoush, held multiple IRGC command positions before entering parliament.
