Shiraz Air Base Struck by Fighter Jets in Day 2 Strike Wave

The Shiraz air base in Fars Province was struck by fighter jets Sunday evening, with residents reporting a tremendous sound from the explosions. The attack was captured in multiple videos and images shared by citizens on Esfand 10 (March 1). Shiraz hosts one of Iran's major air force bases and was previously reported to be home to air defense systems. The strike represents an expansion of the operational footprint beyond Tehran into southwestern Iran.
